Happiness

FNQ – 5 q's for the week

Rosh Chodesh Adar is almost upon us so it is time to increase our happiness. Happiness is like money. Everyone wants it and only other people actually have it. We all speak about it as if it's a clearly defined idea when in reality I don't think most people could even describe what true happiness means to them. Here are my questions on happiness.

From now on, my "thought" later in the week will address one of these questions. As always feel free to share your own ideas.
  1. Is happiness a feeling, a state of being or both?
  2. Can you be a happy person even if you are sad sometimes?
  3. Can evil people be happy? (Example: can a murderer be happy)
  4. Is happiness a condition for achieving moral perfection?
  5. If you could choose whether your children will be happy or good which would you choose?
What do you think?

Come back on Tuesday when I will share my thoughts on question 5. (we are expecting a child soon so that is the question that interests me most)

Binyamin – always looking for a good question
