FNQ – 5 Questions for the week - The state of the State

For this week’s installment of FNQ 5 questions for the week I would like to build off the State of the Union address of President Obama. However, my questions will not be about the state of the union but rather the state of the State. That is, the State of Israel. We have a lot of tough questions concerning our tiny little home land. Here goes.

1.How can the religious and secular Jews of Israel achieve unity when we disagree about so many basic issues of life and the destiny of our people?

2.Is it possible that by uprooting and freezing the only pioneers our country has left that we are sucking the life out of any remaning Zionism?

3.Has the time come for the Charedi world to recognize that it isn’t 1947 anymore and Torah is not in danger of being forgotten; and that they have incredible power and so much to give if they are willing to joins the ranks of…the army, working class, and internet browsers?

4.Is it possible that the United States doesn’t have a clue about the reality of dealing with Muslims and we should stop listening to them no matter how much money they give us?

5.Is it time to consider the possibility that peace with the Palestinians is impossible and pursue a different course of action towards achieving security in our country?

What do you think?

Binyamin – always looking for a good question
